On Tuesday 9 June 2026 we enjoyed a celebration of the many countries, cultures and languages represented within our school community. Each Year Group focused on a specific country, exploring its history, traditions and customs through a range of activities.
We wore clothes that reflect our heritage or cultural identity, and ended the afternoon with an International Parade!
Year 2 Artwork inspired by Japanese cherry blossom. Pupils in 6A loved International Day: dressing up in their favourite outfits, conducting research and writing information texts about Nigeria, designing African face masks and then enjoying a wonderful parade at the end of the day! 3A really enjoyed International Day! We had fun creating unique and personal aboriginal art. We used our handprints as a starting point and then used traditional dot painting to enhance our work.
Many thanks for your enthusiastic support of this event, and to the BPFA, supported by Brunswick’s staff, for continuing the International Day celebrations after school, with face painting, dancing, flag colouring, serving drinks and hot samosas and selling uniform, books, toys, games and wonderful cakes and bakes from around the world.
We are very proud of our diverse community and all it can teach us about living together positively as global citizens.
