London Rocks is a city-wide times tables competition, with Times Tables Rock Stars, designed to improve children’s knowledge, fluency and rapid recall of their times tables.
At the end of Year 4, children take the Multiplication Tables Check, the results of which are reported nationally. We are very proud of our Year 4 children who have just taken this check, scoring on average 22.8 out of 25, with 27 children achieving the maximum mark.
Being able to recall times tables accurately and rapidly helps children to achieve better in the other areas of maths; it is an important life skill. London Rocks helps children develop it.
From 23-25 June children in Years 1-6 played TTRS daily for 30 minutes, trying to get quicker and more accurate.
Last year Brunswick Park came fifth out of 307 schools. We will know next week if we have beaten this amazing score, and will be delighted to share our achievements with you!
