Religious Education
Through the teaching of RE we endeavour to support children to learn and develop the skills and awareness they need to feel fully engaged in their community. Their study of religions and beliefs will enable them to respect, understand and accept other cultures. RE is taught through a series of RE days, which focus on the six major religions represented in the UK.
RE at Brunswick Park begins in the EYFS through Understanding the World. As their learning continues, children are encouraged to question, investigate, evaluate and reflect upon common themes across the six major faiths and their own experiences of religion and belief.
Religious Education (RE) is an important part of our curriculum; however, parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE lessons. If you are considering withdrawal, we encourage you to speak with us so we can answer any questions and explain what this would mean for your child.
