Vote for us to win makeover prize!

October 22, 2025Brunswick Park NewsBPPS Newsroom

Brunswick Park Primary School has been named as a finalist in Leyland’s Big School Makeover competition!

We now need your help to win a fantastic prize that will allow us to make significant improvements to the school.

The school with the most public support will win £5,000 worth of decorating and DIY products from Leyland, with two runners-up bagging £2,500 of product each.

A public vote is now open and closes on 18 November. People can vote once a day, so you can vote every day until 18 November.

There are so many things we can do for our children with the money.  If we won £5000, we could design, build and maintain a huge sandpit in the playground for the whole school’s imaginative play through OPAL, improve the playground and access to community events with new outdoor lighting and improve air quality around the school with live plant screens.

Big School Makeover attracted more than 500 entries, with judges at Leyland whittling it down to a final 10.

Martin Hastings, CEO of Leyland, said, “We are excited to open the voting for Big School Makeover 2025, with 10 fantastic London schools going head-to-head for victory.

“This is the third year of this tremendous competition, which seeks to help schools in the capital to make significant improvements to their facilities at a time when budgets extremely tight.

“We were inundated with hundreds of nominations from passionate parents and carers keen to support their chosen schools. Our judges had a tough task picking the 10 finalists as there were so many strong entries – but we are delighted with the shortlist.

“Leyland has been operating in London for 40 years and now has 35 stores right across the capital. We are genuinely passionate about the city and Big School Makeover is just one way in which we celebrate the communities around our stores.”

Big School Makeover was open to both primary and secondary schools across London, where Leyland has 35 stores in prominent locations.

Leyland stores stock a comprehensive range of products, including paint and decorating essentials, tools, hardware, electrical and plumbing equipment and building materials.
