3a worked in teams today to make Christingles. This was part of our learning in our world view and religion topic.
A Christingle is a symbolic Christian object used in Advent/Christmas services, featuring an orange (the world) with a candle on top (Jesus, the light of the world), wrapped in a red ribbon (love/blood) and decorated with sweets or fruit on sticks (God’s creations/seasons). Meaning “Christ’s light,” it’s a joyful way to teach children about Jesus’s hope and love, with services held from late November through Candlemas
We enjoyed learning about each part and what it symbolised. Great team work by all!
