Congratulations to Antonella, our competition winner!
For this National Literacy Trust challenge, our pupils had the opportunity to explore a range of comics and graphic novels gifted to the school by Amazon, and were encouraged to make links between them and enjoy exploring their diversity of style, language and cultures. Children were then given time to develop their own graphic novel page. Brunswick Park’s children made so many amazing entries, and all the children who took part will be awarded a certificate.
Antonella in Year 5 has been selected as a National Literacy Trust primary school winner!
The judges particularly liked: the good artistry and use of colour, panels filled very well with strong use of different speech and thought bubbles.
Her work will be showcased and celebrated on the National Literacy Trust’s website later this term, and the school will be awarded a £1000 prize from Amazon to add to the books in the libraries.
