Dear Parents and Carers,
If you have not done so already, please make an appointment to see your child’s teacher at Parents’ Evenings on Monday 5 or Tuesday 6 November. If you need assistance with booking an appointment do see Dena or Ché in the School Office. Please make every effort to come to meet your child’s teachers and see how well they are doing.
This weekend, many of us will be enjoying fireworks and bonfires, and we want everyone to stay safe. The children received firework safety training today in assemblies with Mrs Hales, and we wish everyone celebrating Bonfire Night with fireworks a safe and happy time. Our work on the school’s Values has begun, and has revealed the children feel especially strongly about the values of Respect, Tolerance, Courtesy, Kindness, Positivity, Loyalty, Perseverance and Peace. The values of Respect, Tolerance, Courtesy and Kindness tie in exactly with Anti-Bullying Week, which for us begins on 9 November with a non-uniform dressup day in blue. Our work on staying safe and building resilience through empowerment to act assertively is detailed later in this Newsletter. Please support us at school by reinforcing our “Stop it. I don’t like it.” message.
Finally – some great news: our outstanding work in PE and Sport has resulted in Brunswick Park Primary School winning a Silver School Games Award – an excellent and well-deserved achievement. We look forward to seeing you at Parents’ Evenings on Monday and Tuesday.
With best wishes for a peaceful and enjoyable weekend,
